- Contractor shall provide stainless steel wire rope for the Louisville Repair Station, Louisville, KY 40212 in accordance with the following specifications: 1. The wire rope in this contract shall be preformed, Lang Lay, 1 3/4" diameter, stainless steel. The wire rope shall meet Federal Specification RR-W-410G, Type 1, Class 3, 6 X 37. The material of the wire rope and IWRC shall be ASTM A-167 Grade 3, type 304 and shall have a minimum breaking strength of 115 tons. 2. The wire rope shall be pre-stretched and delivered on four new steel spools with 1,525' of wire rope on 2 of the spools and 1,325' on the other 2 spools for a total of 5,700' of wire rope. Any length of wire rope used for test purposes shall be in excess of the 1,525' and 1,325' lengths. 3. The delivery date shall be no later than15 July, 2012. 4. The wire rope shall be delivered to the Louisville Repair Station, 2605 Shippingport Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, 40212. Office and warehouse hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm except for federal holidays. Make delivery arrangements 48 hours in advance.
