- Yeager Branch IRTC Maps Yeager Branch IRTC Contract package Yeager Branch IRTC bid package Integrated Resource Timber Contract Prospectus Prospective Bidder Letter Talladega National Forest Timber For Sale--The Yeager Branch IRTC Sale is located within T22N and R7E, Bibb County, Alabama. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids at the Taladega National Forest, Oakmulgee District office in Brent before10:00 AM local time on April 17, 2012 for a combination of timber and stewardship service work items associated with the project. The Forest Service will have a pre-proposal meeting at 9:00am on March 26th, 212 at the Oakmulgee District Work Center, located on Bear Creek Road (approximately 3 miles south of district office).Timber to be cut includes an estimated 880 CCF Southern Yellow Pine sawtimber, 51 CCF Hardwood sawtimber, 182 CCF Softwood-Other pulpwood, and 76 CCF Hardwood pulpwood. This Stewardship Contract also includes a mandatory stewardship project to be completed in relation to timber removal at a price determined by the bidder and includes 81 acres of Midstory Removal -cut stump herbicide, 167 acres Midstory Removal -Post Thinning- cut stump herbicide and 4 Gate Replacements. Through this treatment all standing trees and woody stems dead or alive; not designated as leave trees and not removed through timber harvesting process; greater than one (1) inch at the root collar, will be cut, moved to a loading area and removed from selected units. Bids will be evaluated on a best value basis where bidders must submit a technical proposal describing how stewardship service work will be completed, as well as, a by product bid for the timber and the per unit rate for completing each stewardship service work item. Offers will not be publicly opened or disclosed. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A prospectus, bid form, blank technical proposal form, blank past performance form and complete information concerning the timber, the service work required in this contract, and the process to submit bids is available to the public at the Oakmulgee District Office, 9901 Highway 5, Brent, AL 35034 or phone 205-926-9765.
