Description
This is only a sources sought. This is not a solicitation nor does it guarantee a solicitation will be issued. Requests for solicitations will not receive any response. Any information submitted to this sources sought is strictly voluntary. The government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay for any information that may be submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought. This Notice is a request by the Government to collect information from Laboratory Instruments Maintenance and Repair companies for the purpose of Market Research. Not providing a response to this Sources Sought will not prohibit/exclude your company from participating in any future solicitations. OO-ALC/PK, Hill AFB, Operational Contracting is considering issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Laboratory Instruments Maintenance and Repair services. All requirements will be for Hill AFB, Utah. Sources being sought are restricted to Region 8. Region 8 is defined as Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming; under NAICS code 811219. The scope of work includes Semi-Annual Preventive Maintenance and Emergency Repair Services. The contractor shall perform preventive maintenance during each inspection period to ensure reliable and continuous safe operation. The maintenance work shall be in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and in accordance with a provided full maintenance protection plan, and shall be intended to maintain the instruments in safe and reliable operating condition until the next scheduled maintenance. The contractor shall respond to emergency repair calls within four hours after notification during normal business hours and by the next business day after normal business hours, and be performing work within one business day after notification for emergency repairs. The contractor shall provide all tools, supplies, chemicals, new parts, labor and equipment necessary to maintain, repair, clean and calibrate the instruments located in the laboratory. Typical work includes, but is not limited to: maintain, repair, clean and calibrate the following instruments at the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (IWTP) laboratory at Hill AFB, Utah in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation. Following is a list of instruments located in the laboratory: •1 ea. S10 auto sampler, S/N 102S8093705 •1 ea. Polyscience chiller S/N 109600270 •1 ea. Optima 4300 Dual View ICP-OES, S/N 077N3091601 •1 ea. PerkinElmer Lambda35, Ultra Violet/Visible Spectrometer, S/N 101N3061403 •1 ea. Clarus 600 PerkinElmer Gas Chromatograph S/N 665N9030601 •1 ea. HS-40 headspace auto sampler PerkinElmer S/N TH40L0902191 •1 ea. Clarus 600S Mass Spectrometer PerkinElmer S/N 664N9012201 The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible firms. The total contemplated contract capacity, minimum Task Order size, and maximum Task Order size for the resulting Laboratory Instruments Maintenance and Repair service contract(s) will be determined after the completion of Market Research which includes an analysis of the sources sought capabilities statements received. The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 811219. The Standard Industrial Code is 7699. FIRMS RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT MUST BE PERMITTED BY LAW TO PRACTICE THE PROFESSIONS OF LABORATORY INSTRUMENTS MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES IN THE STATE OF UTAH.
