- This is a Sources Sought Notice. This does not constitute a solicitation. The information gathered from this request is for planning purposes only. If a solicitation is issued, it will be issued at a later date. The Government is not obligated, nor shall it pay, for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. No official solicitation exists in connection to this notification. If in the future an official solicitation is released, there is no guarantee that sources responding to this sources sought will be included on the sources list. This Sources Sought Notice is to determine the availability and capability of qualified large or small businesses including certified 8 (a), Small Disadvantaged, HUBZone firms; veteran and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Women Owned Small Businesses to provide the requirement. The NAICS code associated with this requirement is 325181, small business size standard is 1000 employees. The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center, Pearl Harbor is seeking vendors who can provide the following under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price supply type contract: 1. Sulfuric Acid, 98%, shall be delivered by both tank truck and totes and pumped into government owned tanks at various locations. Physical State and Appearance: Liquid (thick oily liquid); Odor: Odorless; Color: Colorless; Formula: H2-S04;Grade: Technical; Specific Gravity: 1.84 (water =1); Molecular Weight: 98.08 g/mole; Composition: 95-98%. Estimated Quantity 68 Tons. 2. Sodium Hydroxide (caustic soda), 50%, shall be delivered by tank truck and pumped into government owned tanks in addition to 300 gallon totes to various locations. Physical State and Appearance: Solid (Deliquescent solid); Odor: Odorless; Color: White; Formula: NaOH; Grade: Technical; Specific Gravity: 2.13 (water=1); Molecular Weight: 40 g/mole; Composition: 100%. Estimated Quantity 45 Tons. Delivery is required within 7-10 calendar days after receipt of order to various locations on Oahu, Hawaii. Interested firms are encouraged to respond to this notice with documentation showing the company's ability to fulfill the requirement described. Responses to this notice should include: 1. Company name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone and FAX numbers, website address (if available), and the name, telephone number, and e-mail address of a point of contact having the authority and knowledge to clarify responses with Government representatives. 2. Business size for NAICS 325181. 3. Technical narrative detailing the company's ability to deliver supplies listed in a timely manner to Oahu, HI. Narrative should also include an affirmative statement to whether the company is a manufacturer or a distributer. The Government acknowledges that responses to this sources sought are not binding offers. The information obtained will assist in our market research and future solicitation processes.
