- Addendum# 1 - 032312 The North Texas Job Corps is soliciting bids for the replacement of two water heaters (one in dormitoriy 11 and one in Dormitory 12). Bid packages may be obtained by contacting Tim Accountius, Purchasing Officer via email at accountius.tim@jobcorps.org. The due date for all bids is April 11, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. CST. The work required consist of: A. DESIGN - N/A B. SITE WORK AND UTILITIES - Only as incidental to the project C. STRUCTURAL - N/A D. ARCHITECTURAL - N/A E. DEMOLITION AND PREP WORK •1. Disconnect and remove two existing/non-functional PVI water heaters (Model# 54 P 125a- G -125-gal capacity, 540,000 BTU, 115V, single-phase, 60Hz, 2 Amps, Hydrostatic pressure 225psi, working pressure 150psi, natural gas). One from Dormitory 11 and one from Dormitory 12. F. INTERIOR DECORATION - N/A G. MECHANICAL •1. Install two new high-efficiency (96%) commercial, gas-fired water heaters with input of 400,000 BTUH and storage capacity of 130 gallons with two new expansion tanks. One in Dormitory 11 and one in Dormitory 12. The units will deliver 466 gallons/hour at 100˚F temperature rise. The units will be furnished/installed with sealed combustion systems with intake air and flue piping using 4" PVC. The units will be vented through the roof/side wall and terminated with manufacturers approved termination units. Reconnect all associated plumbing. All materials required for the completion of this project will be provided by the contractor. •2. Fully test units to insure the units and all systems are operating correctly. •H. ELECTRICAL - Only as incidental to the disconnection of the existing/non-functional water heaters and connections of the new contractor proved water heating units. •I. LIGHTING - N/A •J. PLUMBING - Only as incidental to the disconnection of the existing/non-functional water heaters and connections of the new contractor proved water heating units. •K.
