- This synopsis is for a solicitation for the following: Repair Water Service Lines at Lajes Field Azores, Portugal. The Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, supervision and specified material to perform all operations required to replace the exisiting potable water and non-potable firewater iron piping system. Potable water replacement includes all branch lines to provide service to the buildings and connections throught the Base. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation (RFP) will be available in the Government Wide Point of Entry (GWPE) otherwise known as the Federal Business Opportunities System or FedBizOps ( http://www.eps.gov ), on or about 15 May 2012. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) assigned to this acquisition is 237110. This procurement is unrestricted. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after the notice to proceed. The solicitation and any amendments will only be made available through the GWPE and no paper copies will be available. It is the offeror's responsibility to make sure all plans, drawings, and specifications are downloaded for this action. All prospective offerors are responsible to visit the web frequently and obtain the solicitation any amendment or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) in order to be eligible for award. Additional information on CCR is available at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/, Note: New registrations usually take 3-5 business days to process once completed by the vendor.
