- Smithsonian RFP# R12-000186 The Smithsonian Institution hereby issues a Request for Proposals ("RFP") to identify a vendor to provide, install, integrate, and certify a new NCR point of sale hardware system that will offer the Smithsonian's stores improved performance and processing capabilities. Interested offerors are required to provide a notice of intention to submit a proposal to Alyssa Reiner at reinera@si.edu by no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on April 9, 2012. Please note that addition of your company name to the interested vendors list on this website does not constitute proper notice. All questions and inquiries related to this RFP must be directed to Alyssa Reiner; inquiries regarding this RFP submitted to any other Smithsonian parties will not be answered. The deadline for submission of questions is 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on April 9, 2012. Proposals are due by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on April 18, 2012. Requested materials must be submitted by the deadline and in accordance with the instructions in the RFP in order to be considered. This is not a solicitation for a federal contract, and is therefore no govered by federal procurement procedures.
