- This is a Sources Sought Announcement only. The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System has a need to hire an Architectural firm for the design of an Intensive Care Unit. This design effort consists of preparing complete construction documents for the renovation of approximately 21,000 square feet in the current inpatient ward area. At this point in the procurement process the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine if the procurement will be set-aside for one of the following Socio-economic categories; Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, Small Disadvantage Businesses (8(a)); Woman-Owned Small Business or Small Business under NACIS code 541310. Interested firms fitting one or more of these Socio-economic categories should send their information by E-mail to either joseph.mulstay@va.gov or Rusty.Stevenson@va.gov or by fax to 775-334-4106 no later than 4:30 PM Pacific Time April 6, 2012. Information shall include type of socio-economic category (e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Business etc.) firm ™s full address and DUNS number and, a short, no more than 1 page listing of projects/experience designing Medical Center Facilities such as Intensive Care Units. All information received will be used in determining if a set-aside procedure will be utilized. NOTE: Interested firms shall have a working office located within 150 miles of the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care Facility in Reno, NV 89502.
