- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Site Visit Scheduled for 0830 Tuesday 27, April 2012. See solicitation for location. Overview: Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, equipment and materials to box, load, transport, unload, and remove from boxes and place furniture, equipment, contents of furniture, boxes, and otherwise move office equipment and furniture from BLDG 2263 (BN HQ), BLDG 2255 (51st & HHD COFs), and BDG 3020 (Motor Pool) to Fort Stewart, Georgia. The move will culminate at Fort Stewart at BLDGs 725 (BN HQ), BLDG 724 (Company COFs), and BLDG 1820 (Motor pool). A vendor site visit is scheduled for 0830, 27 Mar 2012 beginning at Bldg 2263, 83rd CBRN HQ building and touring 2 other buildings. REQUIRED DATE FOR WORK/DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: Link-up point will be BLDG 2263 on North Polk, NLT 10 APR 2012. 83rd CBRN BN requires that the movers take no longer than 2 day to pack/2 day to move and 1 day to set up. Period of performance is set to be completed no later than 15 April 2012. The actual move will take five day to complete. The unit will schedule the actual move date once finalized. There is also a possibility that the period of performance could shift to the right. SPECIFIC TASKS REQUIRED: Specification identified as: Contractor shall pack all items/equipment to include but not limited to the following: Administrative Files, Conference Tables, Bulletin Boards, Computers, Monitors and other typical office furniture and office equipment items. Contractor is required to disassemble items as necessary and re-assembled same at the delivery location. Contractor shall also remove items from walls (television, pictures, boards, and proximas). All appliances will be disconnected by the members of the military unit for which the move is conducted. The Contractor shall be responsible for the proper delivery and proper set up of all equipment as stated above. Bldg 2003 (Motor pool) and bldg 1820 (Motor pool) are two level buildings. All other buildings are one level. Movers are be required to climb steps at both motor pool locations The Government requires that Contractor provide proof of bonding and insurance to provide proper accountability of all Government Property. The contractor shall ensure that contractor manpower, costs, and other data are being reported in the Contractor Manpower Reporting Application (CMRA). The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work incidentals for the completion of this project. All materials and/or equipment shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and accomplished by workmen skilled in this type of work using standard trade practices. The contractor shall comply with all local, state and federal construction codes and all federal wage laws.
