- -Pressure wire must be compatible with VOLCANO Intravascular Imaging Technology and Functional Measurement System -The pressure wire provides instant integration of crucial FFR data directly into recording system for simplified cath lab workflow -The pressure wires for the measurement system are needed urgently in support of upcoming scheduled cardiac catherization procedures. If these pressure wires are not purchased immediately, it could result in greater damage or death to the patient. It could also lengthen the patient's stay and delay proper treatment. The existing fractional flow reserve measurement system only uses pressure wires compatible with the VOLCANO Intravascular Imaging Technology and Functional Measurement System. The measurement system uses new technology that allows physicians more control when assessing complex coronary lesions.
