- Sole Source J&A for Installation of Nurse Call System NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE 23 March 2012 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, hereby formally announces the intent to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Advance Communication & Cabling. The contractor will be responsible for installation/maintenance for the 4000 Nurse Call System in support of the newly constructed clinical space within the Consolidated Tower at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), the Internal Medicine Clinic. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Air Force intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals; however, all interested persons that identify to the Contracting Officer their intent and capabilities to satisfy the Government's requirement with commercial items, received by 3:00 pm Central Time on Monday, March 26, 2012, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
