- Mission Statement: Pursuant to Program Section 353, Sale and Use of Proceeds of Recyclable Munitions Materials, Public Law 109-364, 10 USC 4690, Crane Army Ammunition Activity is authorized to develop and implement a business strategy that benefits its mission by selling recyclable munitions materials resulting from demilitarization of conventional military munitions. Therefore, this special synopsis is issued to competitively solicit sales offers for Program, Recycling and Demilitarization of Ammunition chemicals. The rough order of magnitude (ROM) quantity is 346000 gallons of Phosphoric Acid in FY2012. The government contemplates on additional production of phosphoric acid beyond year FY 12. The Government will reserve the right to request your option year price at the time of the selection of this direct award agreement; the option quantity for approximately the same quantity or more: UN1805, PG III, ERG 154. This synopsis does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government will host an industry site visit on, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in order to select a business partner that provides best overall benefit to the Government. The Government anticipates final selection of a business partner in accordance with best commercial practices by no later than May 17, 2012.
