- SSG20012R0003_ Packing and moving service _ presolicitation.docx Description: (Please note that this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date.) The Embassy of the United States in Dakar, SENEGAL will issue a solicitation for Packing and Crating Services. This is an indefinite-quantity contract for the supplies or services specified and effective for the period stated, in the Schedule. The U.S. Government estimates the amount of shipping/packing services for each year of this contract will be about $392,791.92 These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forth coming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. The contractor shall provide services for the United States Mission in Dakar, SENEGAL. This consists of packing, freight handling, forwarding, cargo storage, customs clearance and other related services that apply to shipments originating from, consigned to, routed through, and/or moved within the geographic area(s) of Dakar. The contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, direct labor personnel, materials and transportation that are necessary to accomplish all work required. Packing of client Household Effects and Government-owned materials for transportation is a highly specialized function. The measure of performance shall be the condition of packed articles upon arrival at their destination. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation in April 2012. Again, this solicitation will be issued via the FED BIZ OPPS website and prospective offerors can also arrange to pick up a proposal package from the Contracting Officer' address provided herein - no paper copies will be mailed. Note: The response date in this FEDBIZOPS is not a firm date please see the RFP for the actual date.
