- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Installation Contracting Office, Fort Leonard Wood, MO intends to solicit and award a sole source bridge contract to the incumbent contractor, JPS Pumping and Hauling of Rolla, MO for the collection and disposal of sanitary refuse at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Lake of the Ozarks Recreation Area, Linn Creek, MO. The Contractor shall be required to perform cleaning, deodorizing, and winterizing of all portable and permanent latrines, movement of portable latrines, and all functions as specified in the Performance Work Statement (to be provided with the Solicitation if released). The current competitive solicitation for this requirement is on hold due to a GAO Protest, therefore a sole source bridge contract is necessary to avoid a lapse in service. The Government intends to award a one (1) month base period and three (3) - one (1) month option periods. The base period of performance will be 1 April - 30 April 2012. It is the Government's opinion that no other service provider would be capable of fulfilling the requirement in such a short suspense. The incumbent has the requisite knowledge of all of the (numerous) locations and a thorough understanding of the requirement. Additionally, the incumbent already has all of the equipment available that is necessary to fulfill the requirement.
