- THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for installation of 2 sidewalks approximately 1380 square feet, with 4 inch thickness using 3/8 inch rebar steel, by building 122, at the Michael E. Debakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, in Houston, Texas, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Contractor shall completely prepare site for construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, including but not limited to furnishing all labor, materials and supervision to complete the work as stated in the plans and specifications. Work is to be performed and completed within 120 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a proposal will be available at (http://www.fbo.gov). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/) prior to award. Contractors must also be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fbo.gov). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to Kever.Swafford@va.gov. Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for April 09, 2012. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Proposal due date is tentatively scheduled for May 4, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.CST. Exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220 with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. Cost range is less than $25,000.
