Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, MEC Product Line, has a requirement for Way-Wolf Specialized High Pressure Steam Boilers, NSN 4410-01-231-8024, P/N: 848-14E-Steam in support of USCG 210' Medium Endurance Cutters. It is anticipated that a non-competitive, fixed price, sole source contract will be awarded to Selas Heat Technology Company, LLC or one of their authorized distributors for this equipment. The Original Equipment Manufacturer of this equipment is Ray Burner Co. which is now owned by Selas Heat Technology Co, LLC. They are believed to be the only firm that possesses the required capabilities to successfully manufacture these Boilers and can insure form, fit, function and compatibility with existing onboard cutter configurations and equipment and conformity to the OEM design requirements. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY!! The U.S. Coast Guard does NOT possess the data rights to the specifications, drawings or other technical data. All data, specifications, and drawings are proprietary to Selas Heat Technology Company, LLC. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate only with Selas Heat Technology Company or their authorized distributors. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the items are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within 10 calendar days from the date this notice is posted. The following information must be provided and must include sufficient detail to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the acceptability of the offered system and components: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional characteristics), 2) Data to confirm that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the OEM, or 3) Evidence that you are an authorized distributor of this equipment for Selas Heat Technology Co., LLC. This is not a Request for Proposals; therefore, no pricing information shall be submitted at this time. Information due shall be submitted via e-mail or fax notice to Ms. Harwood at Florence.m.harwood@uscg.mil or Fax (410)762-6050. The Government does not intend to pay for the information that is submitted. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the EPS system for future notices and changes. All responses will be considered by this agency.
