- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE-TEDMED CONFERENCE April 10 -13, 2012 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Program Contract Activity - Central intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source Available, no other source will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with TEDMED LLC for the purchase of attending the TEDMED conference in Washington, D.C. TEDMED is an annual conference focusing on health and medicine. At this conference industry leaders, world leaders, and people passionate about healthcare gather to discuss their ideas and address the current state of healthcare, key issue in healthcare, and the future of healthcare in the United States and the world. This conference is known for the high caliber of presenters and attendees who participate and present at the conference. The VA has sent attendees to this conference the past two years. This allows the VA to send 6 employees to the conference scheduled for April 10 -13, 2012 in Washington, D.C. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses to this notice are due on or before March 26, 2012, 1430 EST by email to merrie.frost@va.gov.
