- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this procurement is 0010124091 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-57 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Change Notice DCN 20120312. For informational purposes the North American Industry Classification System code is 332999 All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing. This acquisition is set-a-side 100% for Small Businesses. This is a firm-fixed price procurement and will be procured using commercial item procedures and award selection will be based on lowest price technically acceptable quote. Request for Fabrication of Qty 109 Restraint Arm Bars to fit a Riblet Ski Lift. Riblet Basket Number 6881. Quote should include all fasteners and parts required for installation of the restraint bars. Restraint bars should have a galvanized finish. Quote should also include freight charges to Fort Wainwright, AK 99703. Fabrication does not need to include modification for carrying mountain bikes, as these will be carried on a separate hook, and the passengers will ride in separate cars, and therefore restraints will be removed for chairs that will carry bikes. Restraints should be the standard restraint designed for the Riblet #6881 Chair. An engineering study will be done to meet the weight and clearance standards per ANSI B77. The government will take responsibility for this endeavor and should not be included as part of the quote. Please see attached picture showing where restraint bars should fasten to the chairs. The technical expert will evaluate the quotes on the basis of information furnished by the offeror and specifications provided in the RFQ. Late offers: Quotes or modification of quotes received at the address specified for the receipt of offers after the exact time specified for receipt of offers will not be considered. Evaluation/Award: IAW FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, the Government will award a purchase order resulting from this RFQ once a technical evaluation of offerors quotes has been evaluated to determine technical acceptability. Response Time: All quotes will be accepted via email to MICC-Wainwright, 1064 Apple Street, Fort Wainwright,AK 99703 NLT 12:00 AKT on 04 April 2012. All quotes shall be marked with the Request for Quotation Number,Date and Time. Facsimile and electronic mail quotes will be accepted. Note: All offerors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before being considered for award.
