- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. AS OF THE DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. This Request for Information/Sources Sought (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to this request for information nor will the Government compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information for the Government. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ. Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. The Government will not release any information marked with a proprietary legend received in response to this RFI to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend. Respondents may provide information on any currently available product that meets the National Park Service's requirements. The National Park Service (NPS), Northeast Region, Major Acquisition Buying Office in Philadelphia, PA is seeking sources that can provide a cash register system (for Fort McHenry National Monument) which will be compliant with the NPS's Fee Program. To be compliant with the NPS's Fee Program, the cash register system must be Payment Card Industry compliant with approved Data Security Standards; it must be able to process transaction types such as partial approvals/authorizations for transactions, real-time authorization reversals; and it must display pre-paid card account balances on terminals and/or visitor receipts, as well as split tenders. Additionally, the system must connect and interface with Vantiv and 5/3 Bank. Any comments and/or questions regarding the technical aspects of this RFI ought to be directed to Ms. Susan Knauer, Fee Program Manager, Fort McHenry National Monument, by phone at 410-962-4290, or by email at Susan_Knauer@nps.gov. Interested parties responding to this RFI are requested to provide commercial pamphlets, operating manuals, or any other documentation that will assist National Park personnel in recognizing possible sources. It is further requested that such information be submitted NO LATER THAN March 30, 2012 to Mr. Ryan Martin, C/O National Park Service, Major Acquisition Buying Office, 200 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or by email at ryan_martin@nps.gov. Any request for copies of solicitations will not be addressed since this is a request for information, not a request for quote.
