Description
SOURCES SOUGHT FOR CONSTRUCT OPERATIONAL READINESS TRAINING COMPLEX (ORTC), Camp Shelby, MS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential Small Businesses available to complete the project in its entirety. The USPFO for Mississippi Purchasing and Contracting Division anticipates the solicitation and award of a contract to 'Construct Operational Readiness Training Complex (ORTC)'. This project will consist of the construction of four, four-story military barrack buildings with a total of 49,356 square foot area per structure and a mechanical building. The project site development will include excavation and fill and barriers to reform the existing grades, demolition and salvage/reuse of existing site elements including gravel, asphalt, and concrete paving, sixteen concrete masonry structures with wood trusses and roof deck, ductless split heating and cooling units, wood doors/frames, glass, gypsum board partitions, plumbing fixtures and electrical components. All new structures will be pile supported pre-cast structural concrete with interior concrete and concrete masonry partitions, metal doors and frames, gypsum board ceilings, quarry tile and sealed concrete floor finishes, aluminum windows, solid plastic toilet and shower compartments, laminated casework, and solid surface counter and vanity tops. Mechanical system will include variable volume air system with chilled water cooling and electric strip heating. Electrical systems will include lighting systems, 480V and 208V normal power systems, emergency and standby power systems, mass notification systems, and information technology cabling systems. The project is designed to meet the requirements for LEED Silver certification. Additive Bid Items may include: Power Generators, Construct Smoking Hutches, Construct Drop-Off Hutches, and Laminate Solar Panels. The contract duration is 730 days after NTP. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. All interested Small Business concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a Bid as a prime contractor no later than 06 April 2012. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include (1) a positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, (2) a completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form (attached to this Sources Sought Synopsis), (3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and Point of Contact are to be included. Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it will be advertised as Unrestricted.
