- Solicitation Number: VA118A-12-R-0119 Notice Type: Presolicitation Synopsis: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA); Technology Acquisition Center - Austin; 1701 Directors Blvd, Suite 600; Austin TX 78744 is preparing to release a sole-source Request for Proposal (RFP) to Duluth Travel, Inc., 2860 Peach tree Industrial Blvd., Ste. 1000, Duluth, Georgia 30097, for Travel Management services for VA Financial Services Center. This includes employees traveling in conjunction with a relocation, non-employees such as interviewees performing pre-employment interview travel, and invitational travelers. VA's travel requirements also include authorized travel arrangements for those not covered under the Federal Travel Regulations such as Beneficiary patient travelers and their companion travelers. VA requires services of a contractor knowledgeable in the areas of Federal travel to include authorizations, reservations, ticketing, fulfillment, and reporting and management, including commercial travel office or travel management center services. The sole source RFP is being solicited under the authority of FAR 6.302-5. For this action, 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), known as the Veterans First Contracting Program, provides the authority to directly contract with a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. This action will be for a twelve (12) month base and one (1) six (6) month option. In accordance with FAR 6.305 the approved sole-source J&A is provided as an attachment to this synopsis.
