Description

The Beckley VAMC, Beckley, WV is seeking the services of a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business for work which includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, supervision, alterations, mechanical and electrical necessary for the construction of an Adult Day Healthcare facility on the Beckley VAMC campus, Beckley, WV. The proposed building will connect to the existing main hospital building via an enclosed breezeway/walkway. This project will involve construction of a new two story building, one floor below grade and one floor above grade. This project requires a complete and finished product. This includes all working functions of a structure, which are not limited to, but must include HVAC, electrical, plumbing and all finish work. All utilities and plans are to be field verified. HVAC, electrical and plumbing have been designed; however, it will be the construction contractor's responsibility to ensure all systems are in working order before completion of project. The construction contractor is responsible to attaining all required permits from federal, state and local officials. This includes the Beckley Sanitary Board for storm water management and sanitary tie-ins. This project will have some after hours, holiday and weekend work. This project cannot interrupt the operations of the Beckley VMAC. This project will also require modifying an existing parking lot for medical trailer parking, replacing and existing sidewalk on the north side of the new building and the construction of new sidewalk and driveway access to the lower (south side) level of the building. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. All work shall be completed within 608 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean-up. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $2,000.00 and $5,000,000. Solicitation will be posted on/about 2 May 2012. The date for bid opening will be on/about 4 June 2012. A pre-proposal/walk-through will be held on/about 9 May 2012 at the Engineering Conference Room Bldg 2, Beckley, WV. These dates are estimates only.
