- Contract FQ12168 Contract FQ12168 IFB/FQ12168/GPC ADVANCE NOTICE Date Posted on Internet: March 20, 2012 (VRS and Fed Biz) Date of Invitation: March 20, 2012 Pre-Bid Conference: N/A Bid Opening: Wed., April 4, 2012 @ 2PM Project Description: "New Rail Car Lift Parts for Alexandria and Brentwood Yards" Description of Work WMATA is soliciting sealed bids in accordance with IFB/FQ12168/GPC for parts and other components needed to repair and upgrade the existing rail car lifts and turntables in the Brentwood and Alexandria rail yard S&I shops. The scope of work is to provide mechanical, electrical, and control components for rail car lifts and turntables. Components are to be delivered to a WMATA facility in the Washington, DC, area. Estimated Cost Range: Between $3,000,000 and $6,000,000. Period of performance: 365cds after award. Bid Guarantee and Insurance: A bid bond and insurance is not required. APPENDIX B Goals: WMATA's DBE goal for this solicitation is 0.1% of the Bidder's total bid price. Please ensure that your bid meet this requirement. For further information please review APPENDIX B requirements as outlined in the solicitation specification for the DBE forms to be submitted with each bid. Contract Plans and Specifications WMATA's solicitation will be available to all prospective bidders on (or about) March 20, 2012, on WMATA's website and FED BIZ.
