- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NAS, Automation & Facilities Acquisition Division, and Supply Management Branch, AML-7070, proposes to acquire by single source acquisition, Contractor Depot Logistics Support for Distance Measuring Equipment DME-ASII (1118 & 1119) The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a contract to Selex Sistemi Integrati, Inc. (Selex), Overland Park, KS. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on the conclusion that Selex is the only company with the technical information needed to repair the units, as they are the only source of current proprietary documentation, circuit schematics/revision information/software/firmware updates. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal.
