- The Army Contracting Command Rock Island (ACC-RI) is seeking sources that can provide the following Brand Name or equal item: Weibel SL-520P Doppler Radar system. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334511. The applicable small business size standard is 750 employees. The Doppler system will be used to track speed and velocity rounds ranging from.22 caliber through 155mm. The offered Doppler system must meet the following characteristics: 1. Capable of withstanding blast pressures and vibrations from the use of 155mm artillery 2. Capable of operating outside in adverse weather conditions 3. Meet or exceed a minimum operating temperature of -10 degrees Fahrenheit through +120 degrees Fahrenheit 4. Resistant to humidity 5. Contains all applicable hardware, to include Doppler antenna, tripod and bracket, carrying case, cabling, controller and owner's manual 6. Capable of recording velocities ranging from 30 to 3000 M/S (meters per second) with an overall system accuracy of 0.05% 7. Able to store over 1,000 muzzle velocity results Training of approximately 4 government employees, covering such topics as setup, proper use, maintenance, unit internal testing procedures, and proper stowage procedures is also required. Delivery of this item will be to Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Crane, IN; training will also be performed at this site. Respondents to this Sources Sought announcement should provide the following information: 1. Any relevant product literature/spec sheets on the Doppler system to demonstrate compliance with the characteristics listed above This notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, a Solicitation, a Request for Quotes, or an indication the Government will contract for the items contained in this announcement. This request is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. However, information obtained as a result of this announcement may be reflected in the subsequent solicitation.
