Description
The Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) has a requirement for brand name or equal Pfeiffer vacuum equipment. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. FAR PART 13, SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES, IS UTILIZED IN THIS PROCUREMENT. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a request for quotation. The solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-57. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333911- Pump and Pumping Equipment Manufacturing. This is a full and open competition. BACKGROUND The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) has a requirement for Pfeiffer vacuum equipment. This is a brand name or equal requirement. Brand name or equal description is intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive and is to indicate the quality and characteristic of products that will be considered satisfactory to meet the agency's requirement. Please indicate the manufacturing country of origin of the product. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS CLIN 0001 Quantity: 2 The contractor shall provide a Pfeiffer Hi-Pace 300 (pmp03901) OR EQUIVALENT ITEM that meets the following minimum salient characteristics: • inlet flange DN100 CF-F • exhaust flange DN 16 ISO-KF/G-1/4" • water cooled with TC400 • pumping speed for N2 250 l/sec • operating voltage 24VDC • Semi S2 and UL approved with IP 54 protection. CLIN 0002 Quantity: 2 The contractor shall provide a DCU 310 (pmc01822) display control unit with integrated power supply (24 VDC) OR EQUIVALENT ITEM. CLIN 0003 Quantity: 2 The contractor shall provide a connection cable (pm061352-T) for HiPace, TC400 to TPS/DCU, 3m length OR EQUIVALENT ITEM. CLIN 0004 Quantity: 2 The contractor shall provide a heating jacket (pm061368-T) 115V with UL and M12 plug, for use with HiPace 300 w/TC400 OR EQUIVALENT ITEM. CLIN 0005 Quantity: 2 The contractor shall provide a TVF 005 vent valve (pmZ01291), G-1/8" connection, with M12 plug OR EQUIVALENT ITEM. CLIN 0006 Quantity: 2 The contractor shall provide a splinter shield, DN 100 CF-F for HiPace 300 pump (pm016315), 0.8mm mesh, 488 l/s conductance for Nitrogen OR EQUIVALENT ITEM. CLIN 0007 Quantity: 1 Shipping and handling. DELIVERY TERMS Delivery of all CLINs shall be no later than 6 weeks ARO. Delivery location is: NIST Building 301 Shipping and Receiving 100 Bureau Dr Gaithersburg, MD 20899 QUOTATION EVALUATION: Award shall be made to the offeror whose quotation offers the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government will evaluate quotations based on the following evaluation criteria: Technical Capability and Price.
