- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N68836-12-T-0224 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the latest edition of the Federal Acquisition Circular. This solicitation is issued as a 100% total small business set aside. Numbered note 1 and NAICS 811310, size standard $7.0M applies. CLIN 0001 Rebuild Gearbox 1 EA Scope of Supply and Services - Rebuild Gearbox The failed gearbox is part of the motor/pump assembly for the Aqua Design Reverse Osmosis Water Plant at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Potable Water capacity is 300,000-gpd. 1. Bare-shaft Gear Box - Brand: COMELOR / LUFKIN- Type: GV0150 - Drawing No: GV 150.1.009- Speed Input: 3560 RPM - Speed Output: 6800 RPM- Ratio: 1.91 - Power to transmit: 220kW- Serial No: 30/4720 - Construction: Cast Iron Housing, Shafts on Journal Bearings - Gear set at final hardness, shaft without couplings 2. INFO on Existing Pump Nomenclature that gearbox attaches to: - High Pressure R.O. Pump, Model TPMDX-IV, Guinard Pump, S/N 470047-01 3. INFO on Existing Motor Nomenclature that gearbox attaches to: -300-hp, 480VAC 4. Description of Work: a) Vendor will have the gearbox shipped or picked-up at Naval Air Station Jacksonville FL at vendor ™s expense. Estimated weight is 150-lbs plus crating. b) Vendor will disassemble and determine cause of failure c) Vendor will reverse engineer if necessary d) Vendor will machine replacement parts e) Vendor will replace all bearings, wear-bands and other parts f) Vendor will reassemble and test g) Vendor will apply epoxy coating, prefer blue but color is negotiable. h) LOCATION : NAVFAC Building 135N Jacksonville FL 32212 POC: Fred Burns, 904-542-4204 j) Vendor will be responsible for shipping cost to and from place of performance. 5. Warranty: -Vendor will provide a minimum of a 1-year unlimited warranty on all parts and labor. 6.
