This announcement constitutes the only notice.This is not a request for quotes.A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than Tuesday, March 20, 2012 by sending an e-mail to Katherine_smiley@fws.gov; however, any technical data received will be for the sole purpose of market research for future requirements. Under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), Fish & Wildlife Services, Region 7 Contracting and General Services intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed price order to:COMPANY:Solutionz Videoconferencing, Inc DBA: Solutionz Conferencing DUNS: 103473091FOR :Continuation of Hardware warranty support for Polycom video conferencing equipment. ON:03/21/2012NAICS:811213Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance AUTHORITY:8.405-6(a)(2) Limited Sources Justification and Approval13.106(b) Soliciting from a single sourceDeterminations not to compete this proposed procurement were made because:The Government requires a non- interrupted service to continue warranty support for existing video conferencing equipment and plans to award a contract for an interim 7 months to provide services through the fiscal year. After this 7 month continuation of the existing services the Government intends to post a competed solicitation (small business set aside) for a base year with four options periods with an anticipated award date of 10/01/2012.
