Description
Translation Hub - Open source information to US International media that is capable to ingest digital media content and translate from one language to another. The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors, (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 52.215-3 Request for Information/Industry Feedback the BBG's focus is obtaining industry feedback and approach and how to improve potential work statement for a Translation Hub as a commercially available product and services. Problem Statement: The Contractor shall provide information service to support the Broadcasting Board of Governors' (BBG) coverage of events around the globe. The information service, referred to as 'Translation Hub', will provide machine and human-based translation services to the IBB/VOA newsroom. The scope of the contract shall be to provide an open source Translation Hub service to BBG that shall ingest digital media content (textual and rich media) and provide a full transcription and translation of the original source material from the original source native language to another specified language(s) as identified in the section of Options. Please note, this announcement is posted for data gathering and planning purposes only, and DOES NOT constitute a solicitation. It shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not reimburse any respondent for any cost associated with information submitted in response to this RFI. However, BBG plans to post RFP as a result of this RFI.
