- This solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract for the storage and transportation of the following types of material: Raw Material (Steel, Brass, Aluminum) up to 20 feet in length, Fixtures, Tooling, Work in Process (WIP), Large Machinery and Equipment. This contract will have a period of performance of 1 year and contain a 100% option. The storage facility must be located within 25 miles of Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. Approximate solicitation issue date is 4 April 2012. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date from the Army Single Face To Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore, incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotation may render your quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of the same. The proposed contract will be 100% set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification Code is 531130.
