Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN-20 VA Healthcare System is requesting information related to vendors capable of providing setup of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) Therapy devices. Setup will be in the patient's home, to include follow-up refitting and trouble shooting. Service may also include the contractor providing, setting up and monitoring oximetry in the patient's home. Boise VAMC includes the following counties: Idaho: Lemhi, Valley, Adams, Washington, Custer, Boise, Gem, Payette, Owyhee, Twin Falls, Lincoln, Jerome, Cassia, Minidoka, Butte, Camas, Elmore, Ada, Canyon, Blaine, Gooding Oregon: Grant, Harney, Malheur, Baker Vendors are requested to respond to the requirements for the PAP services below and submit related supporting information/documentation. Requirements: 1.Delivery and set up of a PAP System by Contractor at the patient's home. Services will include initial set up, training, instruction, troubleshooting, NOC oximetry and mask fitting of PAP devices. A Licensed Respiratory Therapist shall provide education and instruction, which includes 2 follow up visits. (PAP machine provided by BVAMC) Est Qty 1125 2.Delivery of NOC oximeter; includes shipping costs, equipment, education and download. Est Qty 825 3.Exercise oximetry performed at patient's residence. Est Qty 65 4.RT visit (equipment exchange, mask refitting or pressure change). Est Qty 950 This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. The Veterans Administration is required by Public Law 104-9 to give first priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 621610, Home Health Care Services. Standard size is $13.5 M. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All responses of capability shall be submitted via email no later than 23 March 2012 at 1100 MST, and include POC information, business size, business SBA classification(s), DUNS number.
