Description
This Request for Information (RFI) is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the requested information. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. The Navy Technology Demonstration and Validation (TECHVAL) Program investigates available third party literature and field evaluates technologies that are in production, but underutilized by DON. The purpose is to document the energy savings, cost, and maintenance issues, develop criteria and guidance for effective application and reduce the risk to installations to incorporate emerging technology. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Engineering Services Center (NAVFAC ESC), Port Hueneme, CA is requesting information related to commercially available energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies in support of the Navy TechVal Program in shore-based energy efficiency and renewable categories including, but not limited to: Space Heating; Space Cooling; Ventilation; Water Heating; Building Envelope; Lighting; Office Equipment; Industrial Process; Water; Renewable Energy. NAVFAC is requesting all respondents use Attachment (1) to provide information regarding their technology for consideration by the Navy Technology Demonstration and Validation Program. Interested sources must submit any information relating to this announcement in writing via e-mail to debra.buckley@navy.mil (contracts POC) and Paul.Kistler@navy.mil (technical POC). The deadline for receiving responses is 16 April 2012. Responses received after this deadline may not be considered. Since this is a Request for Information announcement, no evaluation letters will be issued to the participants.
