- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for roofing repairs and re-shingle is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 36, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFQP02031200009 and is issued as an request for quotation (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-54. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238160. The size magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This requirement is small business set aside total and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on April 6, 2012 at 5pm Eastern Time. FOB Destination shall be Danbury, Connecticut 06811. New Equipment ONLY; NO remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. A site visit is scheduled for March 28, 2012 at 9:00am. Please contact Mr. Bruce MacGregor at 203-312-5229 for the proper paperwork to attend the site visit. The site visit will take place in the institution training center and the surrounding grounds will be visited. Bids MUST be good for 30 calendar days after close of RFQ. Shipping must be free on board (FOB) destination CONUS (Continental U.S.), which means that the seller must deliver the goods on its conveyance at the destination specified by the buyer, and the seller is responsible for the cost of shipping and risk of loss prior to actual delivery at the specified destination. Offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award can be made to them. If the offeror is not registered in the CCR, it may do so through the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. It is also required any contractor doing business with the government under contract be registered in ORCA, website url below: https://orca.bpn.gov/ Potential contractors must read and comply with all specifications, shipping information, and terms outlined in the attachments. Contractors are responsible for paying employees the proper Davis Bacon Wage Rate for this roofing project. All questions MUST be submitted in writing via email to Kim Marie Colicci @ kcolicci@bop.gov. Questions will not be answered via phone calls and voice mails will not be returned. Award will be made to the lowest responsive bidder who complies with the above stated specifications. This purchase will be made on a purchase order and payment will be made in Net 10 days with receipt of a proper invoice certifying small business needs and verification from ORCA & CCR database.
