- This is NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-2 for other full and open completion and FAR Part 13.5 Test program for Certain Commercial Items. The US Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013, has a requirement to procure the following item: HORIZON, software, maintenamce and renewel. oracle software maintenance and renewel The Item delivery date for this item is April 1 2012 12PM EST Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements, the Government intends to award a sole source contract to Chemware Inc 900 ridgefield road raleigh nc 27609-8514. The vendor is the sole source manufacturer and maintenance of this service and vendor owns the proprietary rights of this software. Efforts to solicit other contractors are be made via this announcement in accordance with FAR 5.2. The anticipated cost of the acquisition is determined fair and reasonable by comparison of prices proposed in other purchase of this nature All response received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than Feb 2 2012 12 PM EST. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in the future procurements. Tina L.
