- This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about March 27, 2012 to Upgrade the Sanitary Sewer System, Project No. 528A6-11-609. Work shall include the materials, tools, and labor to perform the demolition and removals of the required items, replacement of selected sections of the existing sanitary sewer gravity collection system both (priority 1 and priority 2 items), installation of a new sanitary sewer force main from the new pump station to the Bath municipal sewer system (discharge manhole), a new grinder station, a new dry well, field testing services, asbestos abatement, mechanical and electrical work, erosion and sediment control, restoration of surfaces, and general construction. The items in the drawings and specifications that are not included in the scope of work for the new emergency storage facilities are: a.Storage tank, accessories, and associated inlet, outlet, and overflow piping. b.Plug valve for the tank inlet c.Pinch valve for the tank outlet d.6 X 6 X 6 Tee on force main for the tank inlet (only include straight line force main) e.4 Diameter Manhole (MH54D) f.Aerator and associated wiring g.Ultrasonic level indication and associated wiring h.Pinch valve on the force main. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses . The NAICS code is 237110. The small business standard is $33.5 M. The cost range is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
