- This is modification 6 to the synopsis entitled Human Health and Performance whichwas posted on September 23, 2011. The purpose of this modification is to provide rational to modification 1 of thissynopsis for the change in the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codeassigned to this acquisition. The NAICS is the standard used by Federal statisticalagencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing,and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. A review of theNAICS code 541711, Research and Development in Biotechnology, initially assigned to thiseffort did not accurately reflect the majority of the core effort. Based on this review,it was determined that NAICS code 541712, Research and Development in the Physical,Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology), more accurately reflected theeffort anticipated under the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC). The due date for Documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/JSCBusiness Opportunities home page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=73 Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation andany amendments.
