- The St Louis Job Corps is requesting quotes for lawn services for the 4333 Goodfellow campus and the 3860 Lindell campus. The quoted prices shall be for services to be provided during the time period from April 15, 2012 through November 10, 2012. The vendor is to provide all labor, material, equipment, and certifications necessary to accomplish lawn cutting/trimming, fertilizations, weed control, and bush trimmings on the Centers located at the 4333 Goodfellow campus and at 3860 Lindell campus. The Center at Goodfellow sits on an 18 acre complex of which approximately 35% is sectioned lawn/grass areas. Approximately 212,000 square feet is flat and 125,000 square feet is terraced. All grass areas are to be cut and trimmed including the inside fence perimeter surrounding the property. The Lindell campus is located at the corner of Lindell and Vandeventer and requires cutting and trimming of Job Corps property surrounding that one building. All vendors must tour the properties with the Manager of Maintenance or his designee in order to provide a quote. The Manager of Maintenance can get reached at 314-565-7092 to schedule a walk through. Required lawn care as follows: Location: 4333 Goodfellow Blvd •1. 30 weekly mowings of the Center property to include mowing of all grass areas, trimming edges of grass areas and of obstacles within the grass areas, then blow clippings from sidewalks and curbs. Grass is to be cut to a height of 2.5 inches. Quote price per mowing. •2. 15 biweekly mowings of the corner lot where the Job Corps sign is located. Grass is to be cut to a height of 2.5 inches. Quote price per mowing •3. 2 balanced fertilizations of the grass areas as directed by the Supervisor of Maintenance. Quote price per fertilization. •4. 2 pruning/trimmings of the Center bushes as directed by the Supervisor of Maintenance. Quote price per complete pruning/trimming. •5. 2 applications of weed control including selected non landscape areas as directed by the Supervisor of Maintenance. Quote price per complete application. Location: 3860 Lindell •1. 30 weekly mowings of the Center property to include mowing of the grass areas, trimming edges of grass areas and of obstacles within the grass areas, and blow clippings from sidewalks and curbs. Grass is to be cut to a height of 2.5 inches. Quote price per mowing •2. 2 trimmings of the Center bushes as directed by the Supervisor of Maintenance. Quote price per complete pruning/trimming. Note: If Lindell property is sold within the contract period, vendor will only bill for services performed at Lindell up to the date that property is turned over to the new owners. All services are to be scheduled during normal work hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. If services are not performed as scheduled due to inclement weather, the vendor is expected to complete work the next available day. Contractor will meet with the Manager of Maintenance or his designee after finishing work for the scheduled day. Contractor will invoice Job Corps monthly for services actually rendered. Payment for services will be according to the agreed upon fee for services schedule for the period from April 15, 2012 through November 10, 2012. Pricing for proposed quotes shall be no higher than what would be quoted to "best" commercial customers and/or to agencies of the United States. Vendors will include copies of insurances, experience, employee training, current customer list, and any applicable licenses or permits. At all times the safety of the students, the staff, and the property shall be considered a top vendor priority. All vendor equipment shall have safety devices (e.g. discharge deflection devices) to prevent accidental damage or injury from objects thrown by mowers or other lawn equipment. Vendor and employees shall abide by the no smoking policy on Center grounds.This service is subject to the provisions of the Service Contract Act where contractors and all subcontractors must comply with the current Department of Labor Area Wage Determination. The St Louis Job Corps Center reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers. Lowest pricing or overall bid does not constitute a bid award. The Center will be the sole judge of which offer is selected for approval. Any agreements may be terminated with respect to the remaining term of the agreement, at any given time by either party upon a written notice to the other effective thirty (30) days after acknowledged receipt of said notice. Quotes must be received in the Purchasing Department, St Louis Job Corps, 4333 Goodfellow Blvd, St. Louis MO 63120 by April 6, 2012 at which time they will be reviewed. Quotes sent by email are acceptable. Anticipated start date is April 15, 2012. Additional information may be obtained by contacting the St. Louis Job Corps Center between the hours of 8:00 am through 4:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday.
