Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS This is a request for information only. The purpose of this sources-sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their categories (Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned Small Business, Hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, and large business) based on NAICS code 811219 (size standard $19.0 million). The Department of Veterans' Affairs, Miami VA Healthcare Center (MVAHS), located in Miami, Florida has equipment in its pharmacy that is no longer under warranty. To perform preventive maintenance to ensure the equipment remains in top operating condition and to address any breakdowns, MVAHS is considering obtaining service contract coverage. The service contact would apply to the following items manufactured by AutoMed. 1 Optifill 2 Fastfill 64 (with Quickfill) 2 R800/EV1 1 FDS 520 A service contract would need to provide for on-site maintenance, after-hours response coverage, software updates and preventive maintenance. A desired feature would be to offer loaner equipment during for lengthy repairs. Interested parties are encouraged to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. To aid in the evaluation of responses, please provide the following: a general description of your firm's experience in servicing equipment of this type, the number of units of this type of equipment that your firm has serviced in the last two years, how many technicians qualified to repair these items your firm directly employs and the sources for any parts employed in making repairs. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or a request for quotes and in no way indicates that the VA will award a future contract. VA personnel will consider all information received by 4:00 p.m. EST, March 26, 2012. Presently, no solicitation document is available. Spoken statements of interest will not be considered as responsive.
