- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This is a commercial item acquisition for the purchase of surgical supplies for the Da Vinci Surgical Robot at the Department of Veterans Affairs - Boston Healthcare System. The contractor shall provide the disposable supplies to the VA Medical Center West Roxbury Campus. The applicable NAICS code is 339112 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Boston Healthcare System (BHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 with Intuitive Surgical Inc., 1266 Kifer Road, Sunnyvale, CA 94086-5206 for the supplies. The solicitation package will be issued on or about March 13, 2012. The date for receipt of quotes is scheduled for March 19, 2012 at 12:00 pm. The government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of the solicitation. The solicitation may be downloaded from FedBizOpps. Copies of the solicitation will not be available for mailing. All prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award of the contract. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. All parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than the deadline date listed on the Request for Proposal (RFP). Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
