- Description
- The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Arlington, Virginia, intends to negotiate a modification to contract HR0011-11-C-0057 with Wyle Information Systems, McLean, VA to acquire additional Information Technology services and commercial hardware/software that must be operational by April 15, 2012 to support DARPA's Support Services Office (SSO) Information Technology Services (ITS) modernization effort. The contractor will be required to acquire and implement the VoIP telephone system, including hardware and software, and to acquire and implement the router used for the circuit with DISA, the Conference Center Schedule software, the Tape Library Backup Systems and the Polycom VTC Bridge appliance and must ensure that all the implementations are integrated with DARPA's new infrastructure. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." DARPA is moving to a new facility in May 2012. The procurement is sole source to Wyle Information Systems because DARPA SSO/ITS requires a team of individuals that are familiar with the new IT infrastructure for DARPA's new facility in order to ensure that the integration of the additional hardware/software is successful. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Agency. Subcontracting opportunities may be available with the prime contractor, Wyle Information Systems.
