- Sole Source Intent Notification: ACC-APG Adelphi Division (Orlando Team) intends to negotiate sole source modification to contract number W91CRB-12-C-0010 for the following Research and Development study efforts: refinement of the JTAR ankle and hip designs in order to create a system that is more conformal and transparent to the wearer. The overall objective of the "Joint Torque Augmentation Robot (JTAR) to Aid Soldiers" project is to decrease the metabolic cost of walking with a heavy load through augmentation of the mechanical work needed at the hips and ankles during locomotion. This requirement is a sole source procurement action to SpringActive Inc. ACC-APG Adelphi Division (Orlando Team) anticipates awarding a cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to the existing contract. The maximum budget for this effort is estimated at $207K. This notification is for information and subcontract planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing the information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests.
