Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b16 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Healthcare System, Hackensack CBOC is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of completing Janitorial Services for its CBOC site. Vendor will be responsible for: 1) Cleanliness of entire CBOC 2) Emergency service labor and travel coverage 3) Time compliance The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 561720. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than March 16, 2012. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS 561720. Qualified offerors shall be experienced in addition to certified technicians capable of performing HVAC maintenance Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to (a capabilities statement), DUNS number, address, point of contact. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (see internet site: http://www.ccr.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received not later than March 16, 2012 at 10:00AM. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Scope of Work: Vendor will provide cleaning services at the Hackensack Outpatient Clinic 385 Prospect Avenue Hackensack, NJ 07601 for the period of D.O.A through 9/30/2012. Scope: During the late afternoon and evening hours (all floor cleaning will occur after 4:30 PM and before 12:00 AM) Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Background: The facility is approx.8,000 sq.ft with a mixture of carpet and tile floors. Description of Duties: The vendor's staff will clean and disinfect restrooms, the break room, toilet bowls, urinals, sink basins, showers, shower mats, dispensers, mirrors, plumbing fixtures, partitions, doors, walls, drinking fountains, and other surfaces. Services will include vacuuming all carpeted areas, removing garbage, cleaning/moping VCT floors, and dusting (high/low to include desk tops, file cabinets, pictures and frames, HVAC supply and return vent grills, door and window sills, and other areas where dust accumulates). Special areas of cleaning and sanitizing will include the Lab, all exam and specialty care rooms, and the break room/kitchen. Services will be performed on a 5-night schedule, with cleaning completed before the clinic opens in the morning. 2. Services will include but are not limited to: Floor cleaning - Vacuuming carpets on daily basis, shampooing on a quarterly basis; damp mopping tile on a daily basis; polished every week. Floors in patient care areas will be free of dirt buildup, specifically in the corners and edge. Restocking paper supplies, hand soap, and hand sanitizer in all bathrooms, in the dispensers adjacent to sinks, and throughout the clinic. Interior glass surfaces will be kept free of finger prints and dirt. Cleaning will occur as required but not less than once every 3 months. Remove all garbage and replace garbage bags in the containers throughout the Clinic and place all used/full garbage bags in dumpster located behind facility. Provide additional scheduled *'*CRITICAL SCOPE*** cleaning support daily (bathrooms) throughout facility between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. All cleaning supplies will be kept in the designated custodial closets. The closets will be locked by the cleaning staff when the clinic is open. The cleaning staff will lock the closets before they depart the clinic in the evening. Cleaning staff will complete all applicable VA NJHCS training. **THE ABOVE S.O.W. WILL OPEN TO FULLFILL ANY OTHER DUTIES THAT THE VA MAY WANT THE CONTRACTOR TO COMPLETE** WHICH WOULD INCLUDE MAINTENANCE OF EMS SUPPLY ROOMS AND LOADING AND UNLOADING OF LINEN DELIVERY VEHICLES.
