- Sources Sought - This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals or quotes. General Statement of Need The purpose of this Notice is to obtain information regarding: STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES: Predictive Maintenance (PM) Coverage and Corrective Maintenance Coverage for MEDRAD manufactured Injectors, Monitors, Infusion Pumps, Thrombectomy Systems, and Dry Imager, and Computed Radiography products. 1.PURPOSE. The overall purpose of requirement is to ensure year-round maintenance coverage for Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, located in the Boston area for equipment that is owned by the government. Manufactured by: MEDRAD. 2.BACKGROUND. All vendors that are capable of servicing MEDRAD equipment, as listed in number 2, must provide MANUFACTURER's copy of proof to work on their equipment, as well as a complete list of all items that are eligible for service/repair. 4.Mandatory Tasks and Deliverables. All vendors must provide a complete listing of their service days/hours of operation. Response time upon calling in for repair, and all terms and conditions regarding materials, labor, and service for MEDRAD equipment. 5.Period of Performance. The period of performance is anticipated to be an annual contract with a base year of 12 months, with 4 (one-year) options. 6.Place of Performance. The Contractor's work will be performed at the government facilities, located at 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132. 7.Key Personnel. We are looking for experts in the maintenance/repair of MEDRAD equipment. Proof must be provided of capable service representatives, and a history of servicing this equipment. 8.Type of Contract. A Firm- Fixed Price Contract is anticipated for this effort. THIS IS STRICTLY MARKET RESEARCH THAT WILL ASSIST THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS, VISN 1 PLAN THEIR ACQUISITION STRATEGY. This is NOT a Request for Proposals (proposals will not be accepted at this time) and does NOT constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The information based on responses to this notice solely within the discretion of the VA. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market research/Sources Sought Notice. Responding small businesses should have an active CCR registration, DUNS number and up to date ORCA registrations. The NAICS code for this service is 334510, size standard is 500 employees. All interested vendors must respond by March15, 2012 by 3PM EST.
