- Request For Information with Specification Data Sheet This RFI supports a potential effort for retrofitting and testing an existing, commercially available, light weight, and environmentally suitable replacement for an Aero-I SATCOM antenna to replace our current Esterline/CMC antenna, part number CMA-2200. The replacement antenna will be required to work in the current Aero-I environment and be compatible with potential future Swift Broadband system requirements. The Government requests that the level of electrical and structural modifications be minimized and defined in your response. The electrical and structural modifications may include but are not limited to additional beam steering unit requirements, additional attenuators, different connectors, different pin out, power consumption, VSWR, impedances, wiring requiring different hole pattern, profile, and number of holes through aircraft skin for connectors, general dimensions. See attached CMA-2200 specification documentation. To ensure continued support of USAF flight missions as well as manage operational availability and logistical response time for the SATCOM antenna listed, the WRALC/GRSE Engineering Group at Robins AFB is requesting that industry provide information via RFI reply. After reviewing the above information, aviation industry vendors, manufacturers, designers, and other such sources with these capabilities are requested to provide data relative to their business practices as set forth below.
