- The Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)91), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Eastman Kodak Company, 343 State Street, Rochester, NY 14650-0558, for maintenance of its Kodak Nexpress Digital 2500 Color Press, Kodak I 1440 Scanner, and Kodak NEX Glosser. MSHA requires the maintenance plan to ensure that the presses operate consistently without breakdowns or undue downtime due to equipment failure. This equipment is essential for producing training materials used by MSHA and the mining industry. This action will result in a fixed price contract. The period of performance will commence on or about April 1, 2012 and end on or about March 31, 2012. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811212 with a size standard of $25 million. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals.
