- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation IFBP05091200001 for the provision of Fresh Bread Products to locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX metropolitan area. The products will be provided for daily meals to individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment at three (3) BOP locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area: Federal Medical Center (FMC) Carswell, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Worth, and Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Seagoville. Deliveries will be made at the above locations once or twice weekly as required by each facility for Wheat Bread (171,520 ea.), White Bread (520 ea.), Hamburger Buns (60,100 ea), Hot Dog Buns (33,940 ea.), Hoagie Rolls (33,030 ea.) and Dinner Rolls (19,000 ea.) in varying quantities which will specified in the solicitation document for each individual location. Quantities listed here are an estimated contract total for all three locations combined for a 12 month period. The contract period for the requirement will be from the Effective Date of Award through 12 months. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be made available on or about March 29, 2012 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 311812, with a size standard of 500 Employees. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The due-date and time for receipt of bids is anticipated to April 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard (local) time; however, this is a projected estimate and bidders should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation for the actual date/time that bids are due. The solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration. The anticipated date of award will be approximately April 27, 2012.
