Description
The Army Contracting Command New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command at the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC) has a requirement to provide overall support in developing and maintaining advanced armaments such as artillery, main battle tanks, mobile combat platforms, mortars, grenades, and pyrotechnics. The required support will involve systems/components utilizing consumable and combustible type products. The required effort will include items such as engineering and technology development, refinement of existing material compositions, up-grading of manufacturing processes, component manufacturing and testing, and assistance during system integration. In addition to having direct engineering experience, Interested Parties must own and control US based fabrication facilities for consumable and combustible armament products. Fabrication and production must be performed under an ISO 9000 Quality Management Program or pre-designated equivalent. Interested Parties must have personnel, procedures, and facility clearances to handle requirements with security classification up to and including Secret. Interested Parties are advised that the work will involve energetic/explosive material and as such must be experienced with standards such as DI-SAFT-81563, DI-SAFT-81299, and DI-SAFT-80101. Responsible and Interested Parties that comply with the aforementioned requirements shall provide: (1) Organization name, (2) Ownership structure including country, (3) Management personnel (including location), (4) Location and description of engineering and manufacturing facilities, and (5) Summary of relevant experience covering the last five (5) years. The experience summary should highlight specific armaments/applications supported by consumable and combustible technology such as cartridge cases, containers, mortar propulsion increments, and artillery zone charges. Include caliber information where applicable. Interested Parties should also include a brief summary of experience as it relates to the use of Finite Element Analysis, ANSYS/ALGOR, Windchill, and Pro-Engineer.
