- The U. S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Project Manager Towed Artillery Systems (PM TAS) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the Fire Control Computers. This requirement is for a quantity of twelve (12) Fire Control Computers to support testing for the M119A2 Howitzer Program to DRS Tactical Systems, 1110 West Hibisbus Blvd. Melbourne, FL 32901 on a sole source basis. The Justification & Approval (J&A), currently being staffed, addresses duplication costs to the Government. Authority for this procurement comes under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1); Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii).
