- Addendum to Presolicitation Notice NOTICE OF INTENT TO RELEASE SOLICITATION FA8601-12-R-0027 Hot Isostatic Press Unit The United States Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5309 is preparing to solicit for a firm-fixed price contract for a Hot Isostatic Press (HIP) Unit on or about 21 March 2012. This requirement is to procure an HIP Unit used for consolidating metallic or ceramic powders to 100% of their theoretical density (no voids or pores). It is also used for eliminating pores in castings and placing claddings around other components. There are additional options that are to be quoted with the HIP Unit. Please see attachment for specifications. The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) to be the single DoD registration point for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD. Please Note: Nothing in this pre-solicitation announcement shall qualify as the actual RFQ.
