Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b16 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of HVAC PMI and Maintenance for its DATA CENTER. Vendor will be responsible for: 1) Guaranteed 4 hour response (24 hours/day, 7 days / week) 2) Emergency service labor and travel coverage 3) Parts coverage The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 238220. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than March 15, 2012. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS 238220. Qualified offerors shall be experienced in addition to certified technicians capable of performing HVAC maintenance Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to (a capabilities statement), DUNS number, address, point of contact. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (see internet site: http://www.ccr.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received not later than March 15, 2012 at 10:00AM. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. A preventative maintenance service is a series of planned tasks, including those recommended by each equipment manufacturer, designed to minimize wear related failures. Frequency of tasks will be periodically updated based on routine operating inspections, annual and multi-year maintenance, analysis of normal wear, experience and any change in the site's operating needs. Objectives- 1. Obtain a service agreement with option years that will allow for the maintenance of HVAC units located at the Brooklyn VAMC. Scope- 1. There should be a clear understanding of what is required and or expected of the contractor in terms of parts, labor and service coverage. There are three (3) Liebert 30 ton packaged air condition units at the Brooklyn VAMC that requires continuous preventive maintenance. The contractor shall obtain professional guidance as needed to correctly meet system requirements set by system manufacturers. Tasks- "The contractor must be able to agree to a guaranteed (4) hour response time in order to maintain service continuity. "Emergency service labor will be included in the contract but travel coverage will be at the expense of the contractor. "Parts and supplies will be placed on a separate order or contract if the need arises. "There will be no less than 6 bi-monthly preventative inspections which will include the change of the filter upon each inspection, in addition to belt changes at no additional cost "Condenser coils must also be brushed down upon each inspection. Delivery- Contractor must agree to service and repair: "Three (3) FH380AAUA00 Liebert 30 ton packaged a/c unit "DCDF480CA four fan outdoor condensers (one unit) "BD542060B40SM Synder General Rooftop site id: 96361 tag number: 155733 "XDC System part number: XDC160AA-1 (two) Government-Furnished Property, Material, Equipment, or Information (GFP, GFM, GFE, or GFI) 1.None to be furnished. Security- 1.Vendor /Contractor must sign in with security/ VA police upon entry to the building. Vendor will contact shop foreman at 718-836-6600 ext 3596 for entry / access to the HVAC units Special Material Requirements- 1.Site visits need to be completed prior to contracting making award with a vendor. The Contractor shall maintain a clean and safe workplace that is secured at the end of each working day. The Contractor shall clear all deliveries with the Center's security personnel. Other Unique Requirements- 1.Preventative Maintenance must be completed by a certified technician. Place of Performance- 1.800 Poly Place Brooklyn VAMC, Brooklyn NY 11209 Period of Performance- 1.DOA- THROUGH 09/30/2012. OPTION YEARS WILL BE INCLUDED INTO THIS SERVICE CONTRACT.
